It started in 2017 when Katrina was given her first sewing machine. It was a vintage 50s Singer belonging to her mother-in-law. After a couple quick lessons from her mother-in-law, Katrina began sewing pillow cases and table runners.

Combining her love of thrifting, upcycling mixed textiles, and sewing, Katrina started Resparked Designs with a vision for sustainability and giving old fabrics a second life. It has since expanded to include reusable items that aid in low waste lifestyles.

Throughout the years, Katrina has designed, sewn, and made new products to help others make sustainability not only the best choice, but the easier choice. Resparked Design products are designed to mimic the ease of disposable products but with the sustainability and durability of reusables.
